The new addition to Audio Trends is a 12" sealed subwoofer. Featuring a triple vented carbon fibre driver with dual-ferrite motor, four-layer copper voice coil, as well as 500W RMS Class D amplification. With over 40 years in the business, the VI-Q delivers articulate, controlled bass that transforms music, movies and games into a complete cinamatic experience.

Engineered For Excursion

A high-excursion carbon fibre cone, dual-ferrite magnet motor, and four-layer copper voice coil form a power plant capable of up to 28mm of linear travel. Triple motor ventilation ensures consistent output without heat compression-maintaining authority and nuance at any level.

Built For Deep, Controlled Bass

Triple-stage motor ventilation-beneath the spider, through the pole plate, and via six rear voice-coil vents-keeps heat at bay during the most demanding passages. By reducing power compression and maintaining magnetic strength, VI-Q sustains peak output without sacrificing clarity or control.

Class D Amplification

VI-Q’s DSP-controlled Class D amplifier delivers up to 650W RMS and 1,200W peak power (model dependent). With MOSFET output stages, anti-clipping, and thermal protection, it maintains composure under pressure-supplying clean, efficient drive that keeps distortion at bay.

Deep Bass You Can Feel

VI-Q’s sealed HDF enclosure is reinforced with a massive 50mm front baffle and internal bracing to eliminate cabinet resonance. With matte finishes to prevent light reflections, it delivers clean impulse response and tight, controlled bass at reference-level playback.

Rear-panel controls give you hands-on command of phase (0°/180°), crossover (50–180 Hz), and volume, plus the ability to engage DSP mode at will. Combine these tactile adjustments with app-based fine-tuning, and VI-Q responds precisely to your room, your system, and your taste.

Reaching as low as 18 Hz (±10 dB) in the 15” model, VI-Q delivers bass that’s not just heard, but felt-pressurising the room with infrasonic weight while preserving speed and definition. Whether it’s a cinematic earthquake or the fundamental of a pipe organ, the foundation is rock-solid.

Room Correction & Connections

Using the iWoofer™ Pro app, VI-Q offers automatic room correction, 25-band parametric EQ, and adjustable crossover slopes up to 48dB/octave. Fine-tune gain, phase, delay, and bass extension from your listening position for a seamless blend with your main speakers.

From modern AV processors to vintage stereo amps, VI-Q integrates with ease. With RCA, XLR, and high-level inputs, plus trigger in and USB power output for Velodyne’s wireless system, it supports any setup and daisy-chains effortlessly for multi-subwoofer systems.
