What Is Ambient Room-Filling Sound? Whether you're reading, cooking, working, or catching up with friends, ambient room-filling sound is the perfect accompaniment. Like the background music in your favourite café, it's calm and unobtrusive, with sound diffused both horizontally and vertically to create just the right atmosphere anywhere in your home.

How Ambient Room-Filling Sound Works: Ambient room-filling sound brings together a range of technologies to produce music which envelops you in wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling sound.

360 Reality Audio or Immersive Audio Enhancement: Because 360 Reality Audio* tracks incorporate three- dimensional sound location data, they're able to deliver the ultimate in ambient room-filling sound. But if they're not available no problem Immersive Audio Enhancement a unique Sony algorithm, effectively delivers your favourite stereo tracks as ambient room-filling sound Discover 360 Reality Audio.

*360 Reality Audio streaming service availability is dependent on region.

Beam Tweeter Creates Floor-To-Ceiling Sound: The beam tweeter produces soundwaves that overlap each other to form an upwards facing wave front. This helps fill the space with ambient room-filling sound, making sure that the SRS-RA3000 hits the sweet spot, wherever you are in the room

Omnidirectional Sound & Deep Bass: A diffuser spreads sound horizontally throughout the room for wall-to-wall audio, while dual passive radiators deliver deep bass.

Smart & Easy To Use: Easy to set up and effortless to use, the RA3000 fits into your life as seamlessly as it fits into your home.

Wireless With Bluetooth® Technology: Pair your speaker with your smartphone or tablet using Bluetooth® technology and start seamlessly streaming your music collection.

Wi-Fi Connectivity: Use a Wi-Fi connection to access your favourite internet streaming services via your speaker and control the playlist from your phone.

Compatible With Spotify Connect: Play Spotify directly through your speaker using the Spotify Connect™ app on your device for full remote control.

Chromecast Built-In: Stream music, online radio and podcasts from your smartphone, tablet or laptop to your audio device. Just tap the Cast button.

Multi-Room Music: The RA3000 can easily be added to a speaker group in the Google Home or Amazon Alexa app. You'll then be able to play different songs in different rooms, or the same music throughout your house, using the app or via your Assistant speaker.

Voice Control: Got a device with Google Assistant built-in or Alexa built-in? If so, you can use it to control your RA3000 with your voice. Just add the RA3000 to your speaker group using the Google Home app or Amazon Alexa app, and all you have to do is say the word – whether you want to start playing music, change the volume or many other functions.

Customise Your Settings With The Sony | Music Center App: Download the Sony | Music Center app to your smartphone and enjoy wireless control of your music. As well as selecting playlists or cueing the next song, you can also adjust settings like EQ.

Adjusts Volume Automatically: Some tracks play too loud and some are too quiet – so you can end up constantly adjusting the volume. The RA3000 solves this problem by analysing every track and automatically playing them at a consistent volume – so you don't have to lift a finger.

Connects Wirelessly With Your TV*: Want to enhance the sound from your TV? With a Bluetooth® connection, compatible BRAVIA® TVs will send audio wirelessly to the RA3000 for a more thrilling viewing experience. Lower latency means that what you hear syncs precisely with what you see on screen.

*A Sony BRAVIA® TV supporting Bluetooth® A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) is needed.

Where Will You Put Your SRS-RA3000? With its compact size and small footprint you can fit the RA3000 just about anywhere. Thanks to the fact it's humidity resistant, you can even enjoy it in the kitchen and bathroom. Wherever you put it, auto sound calibration and auto volume ensure optimum audio performance.

Humidity Resistant: The RA3000 is humidity resistant, so you can use it in potentially humid environments such as the kitchen or even the bathroom.

Auto Sound Calibration: No matter where you set up your RA3000, just turn it on, play music, and it automatically calibrates for optimum audio performance using an internal microphone and unique Sony algorithm. There's no manual measurement or annoying test tone – just perfectly positioned ambient room-filling sound.

About Sony

In 1946, Tokyo Tsushin Kogyo K.K. (Tokyo Telecommunications Engineering Corporation, The predecessor of Sony Group Corporation) started as a small company with capital of just 190,000 yen and approximately 20 employees. Founder Masaru Ibuka said the purpose of setting up the company was to establish an ideal factory that stresses a spirit of freedom and open mindedness that will, through technology, contribute to Japanese culture. Symbolizing Sony's spirit of challenge to do what has never been done before, the company has continued to release countless "Japan's first" and "world's first" products.

Sony has released many ground-breaking and significant products throughout its history which include Japan's first transistor radio in 1955 followed 2 years later by the first pocket sized portable transistor radio. The Cassette Walkman in 1979, the world's first direct-view portable transistor TV in 1960, followed by the first Trinitron TV in 1968. The first Beta VCR in 1975, Japan's first audio reel-to-reel tape recorder in 1950 and Sony's first cassette tape recorder in 1966. World's first compact disc player in 1982, the first Super Audio CD (SACD) player in 1999. First stereo headphones in 1964, the first in-ear headphones in 1982 and the world's first digital noise cancelling headphones in 2008. Sony's original PlayStation launched in Japan in 1994 and the latest PlayStation 5 was released worldwide in late 2020.

This very short list merely scratches the surface of what Sony has achieved over the last 75 years. This multi-national corporation continues to innovate and produce cutting edge products in almost every audio visual category for you to enjoy in your home.

Our Take on The Sony SRS-RA3000

The Sony SRS-RA3000 has an awful lot of tricks up its sleeve including 360 Reality Audio, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Spotify Connect, Chromecast and Auto Sound Calibration. It also looks pretty cool and should fit in with almost any interior. And, being Humidity Resistant, you can use it in the bathroom or kitchen without any problems. There's also Sony's Music Center App where you can control everything and best of all it sounds really good, which should come as no surprise because it is a Sony, after all. We rather like the Sony SRS-RA3000 Wireless Speaker and we think you will too.
