Fitting the Carbon Pro Stylus

To remove the old stylus, simply hold the plastic housing with your thumb and forefinger, pull down and towards you to release the stylus housing. To fit the new Carbon Pro, insert at a slight angle so the hook at the end of the stylus fits into the cartridge. Once in place, simply push up until you hear a ‘click’ to ensure the new stylus is correctly fitted.

When to Change your Stylus

The diamond stylus of the Rega Carbon Pro should perform at its very best for around 1,000 hours which, if you play records for 1 hour a day, works out to almost 3 years. After 1,000 hours the diamond stylus will start wearing down and sound quality will start to drop off. This is the time to get the stylus replaced.
