About The Paradigm Premier 200B Speakers
What you get in the Paradigm Premier 200B Speakers is a seriously massive amount of in-house research, engineering and hand-crafted build quality that has trickled down from Paradigms high end models. And yet we at Audio Trends believe the asking price is very reasonable by comparison with similar models from other brands.
The Paradigm 200B is a little larger than its smaller sibling. Both share the same X-PAL Tweeter so high-end detail is similar. But the extra space in the '200B allows for the larger 165mm bass/mid driver to be installed. Obviously the '200B delivers a bit more depth and is a better choice if you have a bigger room - say 24 square meters. Nicely finished off and looking good at both the front - remove the grilles for a more natural, open sound-stage - and at the back where you have a recessed section that has multi-way speaker wire terminals. We recommend you spend a few extra dollars on some "Banana" plugs and good speaker wire. You may like one of Audio Trends factory terminated speaker cables - famous names with high-end performance at a great low price!
A Closer Look
The Premier 200B's attractively tapered cabinet cunningly hides the true finesse and scale of its sound reproduction. It is a 2-driver 2-way design which incorporates a 25mm (1") X-PAL dome Tweeter with perforated phase-aligning lens combined with a 165mm (6½") ART surround carbon-infused polypropylene Mid/Bass driver, also sporting the unique perforated phase-aligning lens. With low frequency extension down to 45Hz the 200B can fill a small to medium sized room with vivid sound full of impact and emotion.

Patented Perforated Phase-Aligning (PPA) Tweeter & Midrange Lens Technology: Distinctive perforated lens in front of the tweeter and midrange drivers increase and smooth output without colouring the sound, while also protecting the drivers from external damage (loud parties excepted).
Patented Active Ridge Technology (ART) Surrounds: The Premier range features Paradigm's patented Active Ridge Technology (ART) surrounds, made in-house and overmolded directly onto each woofer and midrange cone. This design achieves greater excursion, for a 3dB gain in output and 50% reduction in distortion. Crafted from injection-molded thermoplastic elastomer, ART surrounds are more durable and more reliable, ensuring a lifetime of superior sound.
Crafted in Canada: Premier Series speakers are designed, engineered, and made in Paradigm's state-of-the-art 225,000 ft2 Canadian facility. They chose heavy duty, non-resonant 19mm MDF, with optimally placed interior bracing, and reinforced front baffles to ensure an audio performance beyond any other in this price range. Smooth front baffles, enhanced with 25mm MDF, reduce diffraction and improve sound radiation characteristics. You can feel the Premier build quality that comes from true handcrafted manufacturing. Beautiful, furniture-grade finishes complete this new standard of performance and value.
Paradigm has also employed tapered-angle cabinet designs in this range that not only reduces back-wave reflections within the cabinet but also improves bass intensity and ensures more accurately dispersed audio reproduction whilst adding to the elegance of the enclosure profile.
Partnered With Canada's National Research Council (NRC): Paradigm is partnered with Canada's world-renowned NRC in ongoing research to reveal the true nature of sound and human hearing. Findings influence design and performance specs, resulting in a uniquely realistic listening experience, backed by sound science and beginning with the Persona Series and now trickling down to the Premier Series.
