Marantz B&W Stereo TV Streaming System

Every once in a while a brand comes up with a new product that looks so obvious you wonder why it took so long to happen. Like a Stereo AV Receiver. Sometimes you don't have the room or the budget or the desire to have a full 5.1 speaker system and are quite happy with good old stereo when watching movies, playing games, catching the latest series or listening to music. And that's where the Marantz Stereo 70s comes in. It's basically a Cinema 70s but stereo. So, it has HEOS streaming built in along with all the HDMI inputs you could need along with A/B speakers and multi-zone facilities. And the styling is super slick just like all the latest Marantz models.

Once you have the Stereo 70s you team it up with a pair of speakers like the Bowers & Wilkins 606 S3 which are some of the best performing stand mounts we've come across and finally you grab some Transparent Audio Hardwired speaker cable and your quest is complete. Just plug your TV into this very cool stereo system and you're good to go.

Naturally there are some enhancements that can be made to this system like FS-600 S3 Speaker Stands for ultimate rigidity. Some IsoTek Power Cables and an IsoTek Power Board to make sure your mains power is squeaky clean. And, finally, we think a nice REL T/5x Subwoofer would round out the system nicely, lending some real low end dynamics to proceedings. See all our recommendations and links below.

B&W 606 S3 Speakers

This isn't just another loudspeaker range. The Bowers & Wilkins 600 Series 3 is designed for every music lover; it's the attainable and affordable way to experience the joys of True Sound. These four new loudspeaker models feature technologies used in B&W's revered, reference-standard 800 Series Diamond range found in Abbey Road Studios and provide anyone and everyone who loves music more from their listening. 600 Series: for the love of music.

The 600 Series 3 introduces an all-new tweeter dome technology, the Titanium Dome. This replaces the Aluminium Double-Dome design used in preceding generations. The new tweeter benefits from a larger, 700 S3-sized diaphragm mounting plate for greater dispersion – improving imaging and soundstage.

It also features B&W's new tweeter grille mesh design taken from the recently introduced 800 Series Signature. This is more open than before, also enhancing imaging. The tweeter features a significantly elongated tube-loading system, reducing the resonant frequency behind the dome and leading to a freer and more open sound that is less 'cabinet-bound'.

Thanks to its composite construction, the Continuum™ cone avoids the abrupt transitions in behaviour that can impair the performance of a conventional drive unit. For the 600 S3 range, the continuum midrange & bass/midrange drive units throughout the range feature superior 700 S3 motor systems. The result is a more open, neutral performance that delivers voices and instruments with precision and transparency.
