One of the most compact in-ceiling speakers on the market, the SLM-5400-C features a shallow (50 mm) depth with a fully enclosed back box. Along with premium acoustics straight from the legendary Klipsch Reference 5000 architectural series, the SLM-5400-C brings high performance acoustics in an extra slim package - for great sound where installation space is limited.
Fire Rated Back Box
The ultra-slim galvanized metal back box provides a fire-rated enclosure for excellent sound isolation from neighbouring floors, while ensuring consistent acoustics and exceptional low frequency response from a compact speaker.
Premium Acoustics
Featuring a 4” (102 mm) Cerametallic™ woofer and a 1” (25 mm) titanium dome tweeter mated to a custom designed Tractrix™ horn for dynamic, powerful low frequencies, and detailed, focused highs - the SLM-5400-C brings classic Klipsch sound to an ultra-slim package.
Slim Trim Grille
The flat, magnetic, minimum bezel grille gives a modern, premium, and - most of all - discreet look for great sound anywhere in the home without being obtrusive to the eye or interruptive of the design of the listening area. Square and round grilles are included to match any style.

The Klipsch SLM-5400-C is a bit of a marvel for anyone chasing premium sound in tight spaces. With an ultra-slim 50 mm profile and a fully enclosed, fire-rated back box, it’s one of the most compact in-ceiling speakers you’ll find - perfect when ceiling depth is at a premium but you still want that unmistakable Klipsch punch. Borrowing its acoustic DNA from the legendary Reference 5000 series, it combines a 4" Cerametallic™ woofer and 1" titanium dome tweeter with a Tractrix™ horn to deliver crisp highs and surprisingly full-bodied lows from such a small frame. The sleek magnetic grille (square and round options included) blends beautifully into any room, giving you immersive, high-performance sound without the visual clutter.
