To achieve flawless sound, the R Series cabinet design uses constrained layer damping. Internal braces connected with a ‘lossy’ material convert unwanted vibrations into heat, ensuring the cabinet remains silent so all you hear is the music.

The R8 Meta can serve as a surround or rear speaker with the integrated wall mount feature, or be placed upon another speaker for Dolby Atmos height to bounce sound off the ceiling, bringing Dolby Atmos to the room with no need for custom installation. Even though the sound is big, the proportions are remarkably constrained, thanks in no small part to the 12^th generation Uni-Q® driver which forms the heart of the speaker. Available in a range of matching high class finishes the R8 Meta is the smart choice for KEF home theatre installations based around the critically acclaimed R series.
