About The Escape P9 Air Wireless Music System
The Escape P9 Air Wireless Music System combines the P9 Speaker with the M1 Air Streaming Module for a system that combines the best of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi in one easy to use package.
It delivers superior sound quality thanks to five high-quality speakers equipped with an aluminium dust cap, optimized deep polypropylene (PP) cone, linear flat spider and a vented voice coil driven by a powerful magnet. The 203mm (8 inch) subwoofer features a custom-designed composite fiberglass-reinforced basket to support the oversized magnet. The linear flat spider and vented voice coil ensure deep, powerful and accurate reproduction of the lowest frequencies. Two powerful 24-BIT DSP processors control the digital signal processing and various equalizer algorithms. The built-in audiophile amplifier with an output of 100 Watts RMS and a frequency response of 20Hz-20kHz is fully tuned to the 5 speakers. The advanced bass management offers music lovers the ultimate audio sensation.

Bluetooth: Listen to your favourite music wirelessly in high quality via Bluetooth® ACC or aptX
USB: Do you have a large collection of CDs or legally obtained MP3 files? Copy them onto a USB stick and place it in the P9 USB input under the cover of the P9 keyboard for hours of carefree listening pleasure. The USB input is also used for software updates.
Aux 1: Via the universal Aux input located under the cover of the P9 keypad, you can connect any audio player with a 3.5mm stereo jack output. (External MP3 player, portable CD player, etc...)
Aux 2: Technologies evolve and the P9 features a compartment under the keypad to keep up with the most relevant innovations via an expansion module. This system includes the M1 Air as standard and it is conveniently tucked away under the top panel keypad. Out of sight but very much front of mind, allowing hi-res streaming over Wi-Fi from Apple or Android devices.

High-Res Multi-Room Streaming: The P9 Air supports the three main multi-room ecosystems that provide wireless audio streaming between different devices. This allows the P9 Air to work perfectly with products from other brands that also use the same technology.
Apple AirPlay 2: One or more P9 Air speakers are easily connected to an existing Wi-Fi network through the iOS operating system of the iPhone/ iPad or through iTunes on a Windows PC (Windows 10 version 16299.0 or higher)
Chromecast Built-In: Chromecast built-in is a technology that allows you to stream your favourite music apps from your phone, tablet or laptop directly to your P9 Air. Chromecast built-in works with both the iOS and Android operating systems.
Roon Ready: Roon is perhaps the number-one system for managing and playing digital music. The Roon protocol, RAAT (Roon Advanced Audio Transport), provides a stable connection between Roon compatible devices (Roon Ready) over a Wi-Fi network.
Roon has its own application and the music player has a beautiful interface that tells you more than just song and album information. Roon uses metadata to display biographies, album references, concert dates and lyrics. Roon unifies your CD collection stored on a NAS drive with the High-Res (192kHz/24 bit) streaming services from Tidal and Qobuz.
Spotify Connect: Connect the P9 Air directly to Spotify via the same Wi-Fi network and use the Spotify App as a remote control. It is easy to use and offers high quality audio playback. It is currently not possible to stream simultaneously to multiple speakers via Spotify Connect.
Escape® Remote App: Take full control over the P9 via the Escape Remote App which unifies the entire Escape range under one App. Use all possibilities via the Escape Remote application on your smartphone or tablet.

This P9 / M1 Air bundle takes the P9's considerable capabilities and adds Wi-Fi which opens up a whole world of wireless streaming possibilities like AirPlay 2, Chromecast, Roon & Spotify Connect, to name a few.
The performance of the P9 remains unquestioned and it comfortably makes most wireless speakers look and sound like the toys they are. If you're really serious about big portable sound then the P9 is what you should be looking at. 100 Watts RMS, 5 Tuned Speakers including an 8" Woofer and a frequency response of a crazy 20Hz -20KHz. One listen and you'll have no trouble believing all of those figures. This thing rocks big time.
