System Overview

Do you rent a House or an Apartment? Have you ever felt like you were missing out on the Home Theatre experience because you were renting or didn't have a dedicated room to put your system into? If you are looking for a full-sized portable Home Cinema, this is the system for you!

Introducing our Epson Canton Ultra Short Throw Cinema System!

This system is perfect for open plan Living Rooms and allows you to create your own Media Room space within your current rental.

This system uses an Epson Ultra Short Throw Projector that sits below your screen, rather than hanging from the ceiling at the back of the room. No more long HDMI cables to run through the walls & ceiling and no projector ceiling bracket to install. This smart projector will create a 120" image from just centimetres away and has apps built right in!

The projector is the brightest Ultra Short Throw available at 4000 lumens which means it is great for viewing any time of the day.

A Canton Smart GLE Wireless 5.1 System takes care of producing the sound. It consists of left & right floorstanding fronts, a centre channel, left & right bookshelf surrounds, floor stands, and an 8" active wireless subwoofer. All the speakers are active which means you don't need any separate amplification and it also means there is not any need for a home theatre receiver.

The system has plenty of volume and sounds fantastic and one of the best things is there are no speaker wires to contend with and trip over! Each speaker just plugs in to the mains power and link together wirelessly.

Also included is a Sony Blu-ray Player to play your Blu-rays, DVDs, or CDs on and a Strong Digital Set Top Box to play Free to Air TV Broadcasts.

The only thing that needs to be mounted on the wall is the screen. It hangs like a picture and actually allows you to use your projector during the day. The screen we are using is an Elite Screens 120" 16:9 Fixed CLR Screen. A CLR (Ceiling Light Rejecting) screen, or an ALR (Ambient Light Rejecting) screen as they are also referred to, allows you to see your projected image better in rooms that have ambient light, like an open plan Living Room.

If you prefer to not mount the screen on the wall, the system can be upgraded to use a motorized Vividstorm screen. This motorized screen rises up from the top of a cabinet, while the projector can be placed either on top or in a drawer within the cabinet. When not in use it looks just like a low lying entertainment unit. This is definitely a very efficient and stylish use of space. Ask us for more details.

Elite Screens AR120H-CLR 120" Aeon CLR Projector Screen

The Aeon CLR is an Edge Free CLR fixed frame screen that uses Elite's innovative StarBright CLR (Ceiling Light Rejecting) material. Its serriform optical surface lens microstructure negates the washout effect of ambient light especially from overhead sources. This also enables the material to provide contrast levels that are 100 times greater than that of standard matte white projection screens.

StarBright CLR is specifically designed for ultra-short-throw projectors to provide a large-screen performance in the close quarters of most residential or even training environments.  Aeon CLR with StarBright CLR offers a wide viewing angle, neutral colour temperature, and enhanced picture contrast in a theatre grade image.

Edge Free CLR means there is an internal framework with wraparound material bordered with an ultra-thin bezel.  The screen uses a Ceiling Light Rejection technology.

Epson EH-LS800 4K Ultra Short Throw Laser Projector

The Epson EH-LS800 is purpose made for bright rooms or huge image projection. It features a brilliant 4000 ANSI lumen brightness perfect for dealing with a lit room. It can be easily paired with an Ambient Light Rejecting screen to further enhance the image in very bright rooms. With an ultra short throw lens the LS800 can operate right up against a wall or screen so can be easily placed on a TV cabinet avoiding the hassle of cabling and installation. Unlike the competitors that max out at an already huge 120" the Epson EH-LS800 can blow them out of the water producing an image all the way up to 150" (That is 381cm diagonal!). With a solid state laser light source the Epson is designed to last up to 20,000 hours. Perfectly suited to be used heavily as the main entertainment centre.

The EH-LS800 uses a powerful 4,000-lumen laser light source and a trio of high-definition LCD imaging chips to deliver a bright, colourful picture even in rooms with some light. It also features Epson's 4K Enhancement Technology, which shifts each pixel diagonally by half a pixel and combines the two images to provide a sharper picture.

The EH-LS800 includes the Android TV streaming platform, so you can access your favourite streaming services like YouTube and Netflix without having to hook up a separate source. And you can even search using your voice thanks to the remote's built-in Google Assistant.
