The Bluesound Professional BSP500 is a networked active loudspeaker with built-in streaming, purpose-built for indoor or outdoor commercial spaces. Powered by Power over Ethernet (PoE), it needs just a single cable to deliver both audio and power. Using the proven BluOS platform, the BSP500 can play and distribute music from local network storage or a wide range of streaming services, including those tailored for commercial use like SoundMachine, Custom Channels, Qsic, Tunify, and various radio stations. It can be used on its own, paired with another BSP500 for stereo sound, or deployed in multiples within a space in either mono or stereo setups. The BSP500 also integrates seamlessly into larger BluOS systems, enabling flexible grouping with other BSP500 units or any Bluesound Professional players, amplified players, or network speakers across an installation.

The loudspeaker features a 5.25” (133mm) Low Frequency driver and a 1” (25 mm) High Frequency driver powered by a high efficiency amplifier including a low power standby mode. The frequency response of the speaker is 63Hz-23 kHz and the THD+N of the system is 0.095% at full rated power. Access to content and power is via wired Ethernet for glitch-free streaming. High efficiency electronics and drive units provide a maximum SPL of 100 dB (using PoE++).

Control of the speaker can be accomplished by any Windows/Mac computer as well as any iOS/Android phone or tablets and the Bluesound Professional CP100 wall mount controller. Third party control is also possible with any of the leading systems. Security provisions prevent any unauthorized control of the system.

An integral bracket allows for wall mounting with 90 degrees of swivel and 170 degrees of rotation possible. IP65 rating allows for either indoor or outdoor use.
