About The Bluesound Hub
The Bluesound Hub is a highly versatile network accessory that connects directly to a variety of audio sources and brings them into the BluOS ecosystem, allowing you to stream virtually any source, anywhere.
This is one for the music lovers. The Hub connects analogue and digital audio devices to the BluOS ecosystem for networked streaming, allowing you to listen to any music source in the house without being limited by wires and physical proximity.
You can connect the Hub to the network with dual-band Wi-Fi or wired Gigabit ethernet. Powered by a USB-C connection, its high-quality, moving magnet phono pre-amp and low noise, wide-bandwidth design means that you can stream recordings from your vinyl collection wirelessly without sacrificing playback quality.
Compact, Industrial Design
The Hub is designed to seamlessly blend into any environment with its compact shape. 1U rack height and 1/3 rack width makes for a clean system design. Four-way keyhole mounting slots allow for four different orientation options and easy cable management.
Multiple Source Inputs
The Hub is compatible with nearly any audio input, including HDMI eARC for audio, Coax Digital, Optical Digital and Stereo Analogue, so you have a wealth of options when it comes to connecting music sources to the BluOS network. Each HUB can simultaneously stream one digital and one analogue source, and up to four HUBs can be supported on a single network.
Easy Setup, Easy Control
Each Hub can manage two sources simultaneously (one analogue, one digital) and you can add up to four Hubs to a single network using the simple setup wizard in the BluOS App. Easily control all your speakers and sources through the BluOS App on your smartphone, tablet or desktop.
High Performance
The Hub's networked moving magnet phono pre-amp delivers uncompromised audio quality for your turntable. Choose between dual-band Wi-Fi or a wired Gigabit ethernet connection for a stable network audio performance.
Powered By USB-C
A universal USB-C plug and play connection makes powering the Hub easy and efficient. With only a small external power supply needed, the Hub has more space for dedicated audio inputs, increasing its usability and versatility while creating more opportunities for easy network source sharing.
Our Review
Adding external sources to your Bluesound system just got a whole lot easier and more convenient. The Hub sports a very nice moving magnet phono input so you can plug your turntable directly in and play vinyl through your Bluesound system and all over the house if you have a Bluesound multi-room system set up. It also have a standard Analogue auxiliary input which could be used for a legacy product such as a tape deck or tuner. There are also optical and coaxial digital inputs which could take the output from a CD player or DAT machine. Another very useful addition is the eARC HDMI input which can accept high quality sound from your TV and play it, for instance, through a pair of Bluesound speakers. You can also send all these options all over your house so you can listen to the big game in the lounge, in the kitchen and out on the deck. Wherever you have Bluesound speakers, or a Bluesound system based around a Node, Powernode or Powernode Edge, your music & TV sound can follow. Super simple, super convenient.
