About The AudioQuest M-22 FLX RCA Splitter
This splitter has a number of applications but the most popular is to connect it to a single subwoofer output (from your amplifier or receiver) and then run a pair of stereo rca-rca cables to the subwoofer. Obviously the subwoofer needs to have dual inputs! The idea is that you are increasing the input signal and therefore get more output.
Solid Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) Conductors
Solid Long-Grain Copper allows a smoother and clearer sound than cables using regular OFHC (Oxygen-Free High-Conductivity) copper. Solid conductors prevent strand interaction, a major source of distortion. The surface quality is critical because a conductor can be considered as a rail-guide for both the electric fields within a conductor, and for the magnetic fields outside the conductor. LGC has fewer oxides within the conducting material, less impurities, less grain boundaries, and definitively better performance.
