All goods things come to an end, even the rechargeable battery in your PAL BT and PAL+ BT radios.
Rechargeable batteries, by design, have a limited number of charge cycles and will eventually need to be replaced. If you find you are getting less and less cordless time with your PAL radio and have had the radio for more than two years (with moderate use), then chances are your battery may need to be replaced.
Don't worry, the process is simple, just two little screws, and your PAL radio will be just as good as the day you brought it home. Battery life and number of charge cycles vary by use and settings.
Tip: Staff here have several Tivoli Audio PAL radios, some over 10 years old. Tests and reports from them and our customers show that the new replacement battery is lasting a lot longer than the original if used correctly.
What do we mean? When first installing the new battery, charge it until the front panel green indicator light stops flashing anything up to two hours. Next, operate the Radio without the AC power pack connected and until it runs dead flat. Repeat the process. Depending upon the volume, the unit may play for 15 hours or more.
This replacement battery pack is compatible with the following Tivoli Audio products: Generation 2 PAL BT and PAL+ BT. To determine if your unit is Generation 2 please refer to the serial number on the back of your unit. If the last two digits of the serial number is 18 or higher, this is the correct battery pack for you.
