The biggest innovation in the KEF Q Series speakers is the addition of Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT™). This revolutionary structure uses a maze of intricate channels to absorb 99% of unwanted sound from the rear of the tweeter, acting like an acoustic black hole. Refined Crossovers Tuned with 1,000 Measurements

To ensure seamless integration between drivers, every Q Series speaker is tuned with over 1,000 on- and off-axis acoustic measurements taken in KEF’s UK anechoic chamber. These precise measurements allow engineers to design highly accurate crossovers using advanced simulation and prototyping. Drawing on experience from the LS50 Meta, Blade, The Reference, and R Series, the result is optimal signal path performance and superior sound accuracy.
