Audio Trends officially started in business in February 1980 in a small shop in the Wantirna Mall Shopping Centre in Wantirna Victoria. You will see some images on the Company History page. However, the Lee family first became trapped by the audio bug back in 1958/59 when the first stereo LPs started appearing. Friends wanted help building there own hi-fi system and in 1963 the first retail experience commenced. Even then, the part of Myer - yes unbelievably Myer - built what was the first sound-lounge and I remember well as a 15/16 year old all the Directors coming by to check out this marvel of retailing. So the scene was set for a different retail experience and even our small Wantirna store was nicely decked out with separate listening rooms that gave a homely experience. But after 20 years plus, we decided it was time to grow and expand our showroom into what is is today.
