ViewSonic Corporation is a Taiwanese-American privately held multinational electronics
company with headquarters in Brea, California, United States and a research & development centre in New Taipei City, Taiwan.
The company was founded in 1987 as Keypoint Technology Corporation by James Chu and
was renamed to ViewSonic in 1993. In the mid-1990s, ViewSonic rose to become one of the
top-rated makers of computer CRT monitors, alongside Sony, NEC and Panasonic.
ViewSonic soon displaced the rest of these companies to emerge as the largest display
manufacturer from America/Japan at the turn of the millennium.
Today, ViewSonic specializes in visual display hardware - including liquid-crystal displays,
projectors, and 6 interactive whiteboards. Their 4K Home Theatre Projectors are considered to be amongst the best available worldwide and are renowned for offering great picture quality at competitive prices. This global company has offices in 21 countries around the world and specialises in three key markets: education, enterprise, and entertainment.
