In the late 1970s and 1980s the Garrott Brothers built up a reputation for their phono cartridge called the P77. They supplied a high quality “parabolic” diamond tip that was able to be retro-fitted to almost any phono cartridge cantilever on the planet that became almost 'cult' status for a time when vinyl was in decline. Although the brothers died tragically in 1992, the business lives on and now has an extended range of moving magnet and moving coil cartridges which have been highly reviewed and are a popular choice with both current and earler turntables from the 1960s to 1980s.
