Akai- Buying A Replacement Stylus
One part of your turntable which will almost definitely need replacing is the Stylus, or ‘Needle’ in layman’s terms. Normally a diamond stylus will start to wear out after approximately 1,000 hours of use (equivalent to one hour’s listening every day for three years) and you should look at replacing it then.
The brand of Pickup Cartridge, which carries the stylus, will vary from turntable to turntable. Any Akai Stylus listed here is designed to fit the particular Akai Cartridge it belongs to. If you don’t know which Cartridge you have or which Stylus you need you can contact Audio Trends on 03 9874 8233 or shop@audiotrends.com.au and we can consult our very large stylus reference guide to determine which one you need. Each Akai Stylus listed here is either in stock or normally available within a few days.
