About The Van den Hul The Revolution Hybrid Speaker Cable (Pair VDH Berri Bus)
Van den Hul's massive single-lead loudspeaker cable The Revelation Hybrid has been a great success but A.J., never one to rest on his laurels, was keen to see if it was possible to produce a lower priced version. This was the moment The Revolution Hybrid was born: a single-lead loudspeaker cable with similar sonic properties but smaller in size.
The general construction of the Revolution Hybrid is the same as with The Revelation Hybrid.
- First an inner group with 308 x 0.14 mm very high grade Matched Crystal (MC) OFC strands with a dense coating of very pure silver. The inner group exhibits a total metal cross-section area of 4.74 mm².
- Covering this core is a Linear Structured Carbon® (LSC) saturated layer which bridges minor defects and captures and transforms the radiated magnetic field of the inner conductor to an audio signal again.
- The helically wound outer conductor structure employs the same silver coated MC OFC metal quality as found in the core and consists of 16 separate conductors, each with 19 strands of 0.11 mm. This produces a metal cross-section area of 2.89 mm². These 16 outer conductors are individually insulated and are wired in parallel with the centre conductor, giving a single lead cable. Their being individually insulated however also allows them to be wired together as a separate signal return. (Versions wired as such and fitted with matching connectors are available as twin-lead speaker cables).
- The total metal cross-section area of The Revolution Hybrid is 7.63 mm² giving the cable its very low resistance of 0.226 Ohm/100 m.
- The outer jacket is made of red Hulliflex® 3, a mechanically superb insulation material.
Terminated Pair

Installation is done by the Australian Van den Hul Distributor and so is done right and saves you the time and "fiddle" of doing it yourself which can be a problem if you don't have the right tools. Our Take
When Van den Hul released The Revelation Hybrid it was in fact, a revelation, and for the performance on offer exceptional value for money. But it costs a pretty penny, so A.J. Van den Hul set about trying to retain as much of its magic as possible but in a cut down version that was a little slimmer and quite a bit cheaper. And here we have it, The Revolution Hybrid. This cable is nothing short of a bargain and shows just what a genius A.J. is (and we've met and spent time with him in person so we know what a radical free thinker he is). But don't think of this as the junior burger, this is more like a double quarter pounder and The Revelation is like a triple quarter pounder, really only for those with a bigger appetite/wallet who want to go all the way. Van den Hul says "The Revolution Hybrid renders a very spacious and detailed structure without any specific accent on high frequencies." We think that's thoroughly understating how absolutely fabulous this cable is.
