This medium-sized in-wall loudspeaker is a three-way model featuring two RST II bass drivers, an RST II mid-range driver and a C-CAM tweeter. Its fully sealed back box delivers consistency of performance, no matter where it is used. It has a cut-out dimension of 527 x 198 mm and revolutionary patented Quik-Link speaker cable connector and Tri-Grip II for quick, simple, reliable and strong installation and fitting.
The W2M-CP in-wall loudspeaker is designed to deliver pristine, engaging acoustics where high-performance sound is a key requirement. As a Controlled Performance (CP) model, it is fitted with a fully sealed back box that provides an ideal air load for the drivers, optimising mid-range and bass performance while maintaining sonic consistency regardless of interior wall construction. These rigid, mineral filled enclosures reduce the sound from the back of the cabinet by around 30 dB. This range guarantees excellent audio quality and versatility, for superior level of sound isolation between rooms and floors.
Dual Drivers: The W2M-CP has been updated to feature a dual-bass driver arrangement. Positioned either side of the HF/MF array, this configuration improves linearity between drivers and ensures a much larger, purer and cleaner sound is delivered into the listening area, and with greater bass extension.
Mid-Pod Rotation: The W2M-CP features a rotating mid-pod driver array. This mid-pod array can be rotated to allow the speakers to be positioned within a vertical or horizontal plain - to suit the application – at the installation stage. This highly flexible solution ensures that the phase of the transducer is correct in each orientation.
Boundary EQ: All the Creator Series in-wall models perform exceptionally well in a variety of locations, including when close to secondary walls. However, the W2M-CP features enhanced technologies such as boundary correction and high- and mid-frequency cut/boost that allows it to be placed in trickier locations such as corners. Because sound performance shouldn't be compromised by placement.
Easy to Install: Using Monitor Audio's enhanced Tri-Grip II installation system, the W2M-CP is quick and easy to install. Once in position, the multi-point support holds the speaker securely. Patented Quik-Link speaker cable connectors speed up installation, saving considerable time when wiring up a multi-room system.
Discreet Design: With its flush-fitting, magnetically attached grille, the W2M-CP blends seamlessly with the wall. For an even more discreet finish, the grille can be spray painted to precisely match your wall's colour.
