Headphones are back in fashion in a big way. Really, though they never went away, but with music now mobile and life so hectic, it is now a daily thing to see folk out-and-about with a set of in-ear buds or even some awesome noise-cancelling models.
So, if you're content to sit still while you're listening to your music then you can't go wrong with some full-size bluetooth headphones. Then there are Open-back headphones. These models let air flow through the earcups. Their sound is spacious and natural, but some of it leaks out and that can annoy the folks around you. The benefit though is that you can use them for longer periods without the fatigue associated with Closed-back headphones that keep sound from leaking in or out.
However, there's more to this than just a pair of headphones. You can take your 'head-fi' to an even higher level by adding a dedicated headphone amplifier or a stereo amp with built-in dedicated headphone amplifier circuit. If you also listen to your music when at the computer, then a portable USB-DAC is a must. We can help. Call Simon Finch - our headphone expert - for advice on what's right for you.
