Buying A Replacement Stylus
One part of your turntable which will almost definitely need replacing is the Stylus, or ‘Needle’, in layman’s terms. Normally a diamond stylus will start to wear out after approximately 1,000 hours of use (equivalent to one hour’s listening every day for three years) and you should look at replacing it then.
The brand of Pickup Cartridge, which carries the stylus, will vary from turntable to turntable. Any Hitachi Stylus listed here is designed to fit the particular Hitachi Cartridge it belongs to. If you don’t know which Cartridge you have or which Stylus you need you can contact Audio Trends on 03 9874 8233 or [email protected] and we can consult our very large stylus reference guide to determine which one you need. Each Hitachi Stylus listed here is normally available within a few days and we can organise to send it out to you anywhere in Australia free of charge.
