Most Blu-ray Universal Players have provision for a Digital Cable as do a number of DACs along with many Home Theatre Receivers. The RCA to RCA type cable is designed to transfer digital audio signals between suitable components with the minimum of loss. There is also a professional AES/EBU version terminated with XLR's enabling an ultra high quality connection between suitable digital components. Although Toslink (Fibre Optic) remains the most popular digital connector, many music lovers prefer the sound via RCA or XLR Digital Cables.
