Denon would be considered mid to high end. Their AV products start under $1,000 but their top tier models certainly qualify as high end with the flagship home theatre amplifier selling for more than $12K. On the stereo front you can pick up a high performance amplifier for a grand but if you want real Denon quality you should head for their 3000 series components which include amps, SACD players and turntables for about $5K each.
