Using your home Wi-Fi to send sound to more than one room in your house is what multi-room audio is. Sonos started multi-room a while ago, you could play the same thing everywhere in perfect sync or you could play something different in every room or something in between. These days we can add Bluesound, WiiM, Marantz and Denon models with HEOS built-in and quite a few more to the list. And for Apple uses there is always the option of AirPlay 2 which will stream music to multiple devices at once from many different brands as long as they are connected to your Wi-Fi.
