Most Active speakers are small enough to be placed on a desk so many people use them for computer speakers so a USB input would be high on the hit list. Also, more and more people like the option of plugging a turntable into a pair of active speakers which means a phono input would be a plus. They are also great as TV speakers and an HDMI ARC input or at least an optical input would be good. One other option many people ask about is whether a subwoofer can be added, so a sub out connection would be a real advantage.
