Overview
Subwoofers are dedicated solely to reproducing low-frequency sounds and are essential for home cinema and even add another dimension to stereo music. The typical frequency range of human hearing is between 20-20,000Hz. A subwoofer is responsible only for the very lowest end of this frequency range. Our brands include: Aaron Genelec Sonique Subsonic Whatmough |

| Subsonic XS-1 Mk2 Powered Subwoofer |

Description
Looking for the right combination of features in a subwoofer? Well, here's where big bass, great looks, and an affordable price come together with the new updated XS-1! Subsonic's new XS-1 subwoofer, based on the highly successful earlier model now boasts a more powerful 250-watt high-current amplifier, powering a 300mm (12 inch) driver with a bass-friendly rounded rubber roll surround that allows longer driver excursion than on most subs at this price, so a lot of air gets moved!
Other nice touches include extremely solid, yet compact build, as well as its quality connections. The unfiltered LFE input, for maintaining 5.1 bass precision, is just another bonus. Bottom line? You've got the power you need for home cinema, the precision you want in music and a price that even the budget-minded find attractive. Want more? Then buy two! No joking, two XS-1s outperform almost everything under $3000. Quite a number of our serious customers agree and have put down the cash...

| Subsonic XS-2 Mk2 Powered Subwoofer |
Description
What can we say about the XS-2 other than it is just a smaller version of the XS-1. It sports a 250mm (10 inch) driver, comes in the same cabinet and has slightly less output at 250 Watts RMS, which is more than adequate in this situation. Frequency response is stated as 28Hz to 150Hz ± 3db. Highly recommended with the ‘X’ series of floorstanding or satellite speakers… |

| Subsonic XS-3 Powered Subwoofer |
Description
The Subsonic XS-3 is the entry point subwoofer in the range and is ideally suited for those with smaller rooms and more realistic expectations from their system. This is not to say that the XS-3 doesn't perform well! Quite, the contrary - it performs very well but with its smaller and more compact size obviously doesn't have quite the impact of its bigger brothers.
Very well suited to the Subsonic Audio Lifestyle series of satellite speakers. |

| Whatmough Impact Powered Subwoofer |

Description
The Impact is the flagship subwoofer emanating from Whatmough.. For more details, please read the attached Australian Hi-Fi review. This subwoofer takes the Whise patented distortion reducing technologies even a few steps further than previous models. The Impact Subwoofer has even lower levels of distortion resulting in a sound that is unbelievably clean, tight and detailed. Due to a very ingenious cabinet design, the Impact is capable of a much higher output than its specifications indicate.
Impact by name, Impact by nature. This Subwoofer really does have incredible impact. While the Impulse subwoofer does well in this area, the Impact is at another level. Whise believe that the Impact will compete very well with almost any subwoofer, regardless of price. We agree, this is an exceptional Subwoofer and is actually very reasonably priced when one considers the high level of performance delivered.

| Whatmough Impulse Powered Subwoofer |
Description
The Whatmough Impulse powered Subwoofer uses the same circuitry as its bigger brother - the Impact. Essentially the differences are in the box itself. The Impulse has a powerful low-noise amplifier incorporating an Australian designed and built, low-distortion, long-throw 200mm (8 inch) bass driver. It delivers genuinely fast, fully-extended, low distortion bass to 26Hz with excellent SPL, transient capability and detail, delivering extremely fast yet well-damped transient performance.
The enclosure has been designed using patented Parametric Acoustic Modelling (PAM) techniques which include a low-pass acoustic filter. The Impulse carries the patented Neville Thiele Method (NTM) active filter to provide rapid roll-off at the user-selectable upper cut-off frequency. When partnered with the Master 113P satellite speakers, the highest performance surround sound is delivered without compromise.
Whise technology incorporates acoustic filters to reduce harmonic distortion. This combined with a fast acoustic roll off above 80Hz results in a very clean, tight and controlled bass with almost nothing at upper bass and midrange frequencies.
Subwoofer Specifications:
Amplifier 200 watts continuous power output. Line and speaker level inputs
Bass extension 25Hz -3db, usable bass to below 20Hz
Weight and Dimensions (mm) 28.5kg, 470H x 325W x 420D
