Audio specialist Sennheiser and sports goods manufacturer Adidas today announced their cooperation in the field of sports headphones. The two companies will launch their collaboration with four new headphone models that are specially designed for sports applications.
“The new sports headphones mark the beginning of a cooperation in which Sennheiser and Adidas will combine the very best of the sports and audio worlds," said Susanne Seidel, President Global Marketing at Sennheiser. The Sennheiser name is synonymous throughout the world with top-quality audio products, while Adidas is one of the leading brands in the sports goods sector.
Offering innovative technology and state-of-the-art design, both companies inspire their customers with their products worldwide. “The fields of electronics and entertainment are becoming more and more important in leisure and sports. With the Sennheiser collaboration we are now able to enlarge our product portfolio with high-quality headphones specially designed for sports applications”, explained Bernd Wahler, Chief Marketing Officer at Adidas Sports Performance.

Sennheiser has been very successful with sports headphones in the consumer electronics market for many years. Together with Adidas, the audio specialist now wants to further extend its leading position and to focus even more strongly on the sports market. The two cooperation partners have succeeded in optimally combining their expertise in the development of the new sports headphones. The MX 680, CX 680, OMX 680 and PMX 680 models feature exceptional sound quality and maximum sports functionality. The four new headphones will be dispatched to Sennheiser sales partners and Adidas Sport Performance stores from February 2010.
