The original Cambridge Audio company was founded in 1968 and was primarily known for its range of amplifiers and tuners, many of which featured an unusually slim physical profile. We still remember fondly one of their advertisements from the early 1980's which boldly announced "Specifications Are Just Another Form Of Distortion." Great line which is still true today and will be forever.

New owners took over in 1994 and originally concentrated on lower priced or entry-level products. Ensuing success saw the range expand and today Cambridge Audio continues to set new standards in the research, development and manufacture of hi-fi and home cinema entertainment systems. What we like about them is that they are always coming up with some nifty and interesting products that are quite fun to have around the place.
